July 24th, 2004: Science Team Party
Science Team goodbye party for Dave.
Messy as usual.
Hiro organized the construction of a retrospective album. Naturally it was a little biased towards recent history, but it was a very good piece of work and came out very very well.
Our trophies from over the years.
And we didn't even do everything on the night before. ("In fact, we did it two nights before!" -- the album, or something close to that.) But of course the work did take its toll.
Cabin fever strikes
The final result was definitely a good gift.

The actual party went well too, although there wasn't really much to go wrong. The important part was that a good number of alumni came back.
Hiro getting his butt kicked at Scrabble
A lot of cool people from the year before me and two years before me were there, and it was nice to see them again. And the years after me were of course also well-represented.

Afterwards, we went back to Dave's house to blow various things up. Unfortunately, my camera batteries had crapped out on me by that point.
Hi, Kelly
We did, however, find Dave's uranium. We think.
Mr. 2-by-Cake
After everyone had their fill of that, I went with the '03 crew to play some poker and video games. A good time as always.
Science Team Alumni
With luck, a good coach for next year will pop up. A lot of the members are graduating, but there always seem to be enough people to bounce back.
Homemade banjo for Olympiad
Certainly was a good party for a good reason. It doesn't feel much like an ending to me. Hard to tell right now whether that's because it hasn't sunk in yet or because things won't really change that much.
