May 4th, 2004: Keep them Puppies Rollin'

Well, no camera batteries means not much in the way of interesting updates. In terms of uninteresting things, I've moved back from school. This awesomely coincided with an email outage and a user account takeover at HETG again. I'm not sure how peeved the faculty are; there's only so much you expect from an undergraduate ... It will be nice to rearchitect the network to be more resistant to this kind of thing, although it will be work.

Besides that, it looks like my plan to have a relaxing summer have failed. I have Physics 123, biking, finishing work with Josh, finishing work with Gaspar, helping out at Alberti's Window, learning bass, finishing MBuild, doing computer work at the Theory Group, and probably some other stuff to do. None of them are exactly necessary but it would be nice to cross some items off my todo list.

Oh, and more fun stuff. Upgraded to Fedora Core II: The Revenge of Fedora Core. Seems pretty nice, but there have been problems, mostly due to the fact that I'm moving from a somewhat-customized Red Hat 9 installation. This sort of experience, combined with HETG work, helps me realize how much computers suck. Bring on the black-box electronics in 123.

Yeah, that's exactly what I want.
