Old Quincy has really spacious basements. See for yourself:

Good-sized basement

Strange cubic gap space.

Ok, that last picture isn't very helpful since there are no size references. On the right of the picture you can barely see a doorway in the far side of the hallway. There's nothing else in the big dent; it's just a large void in an already wide hallway.

Sigh, access denied to the steam tunnels.
