February 28th, 2003: Flush
A bunch of random pictures that I should dequeue....
So you might not have heard but it snowed recently.
Oh yes it did.
Then last weekend, I went to chill out with the Science Team. I read a few rounds, slept for a few hours, then we drove to Maine to observe the Maine Science Bowl. Both Lexington and Lincoln-Sudbury were there, leaving something of a power vacuum for the New England Bowl, which is tomorrow... (I have directed the team to avenge our loss last year, preferably involving "devouring their skulls" as I like to put it.)
Lick-Kong, Greg, Jake, Antoinne, Greg: the Power Seniors
Plus Stephen, Hiro, and two freshmen
Unfortunately I don't know the freshmen's names. Well, it'd actually be a little creepy if I did. Anyway... oh wait, the one on the right... Chow Yun-Fat is on our science team!!!
The loneliness of leadership. Or something.
Ah, the memories...
February 16th, 2003: B/V-Day
Owen had his 23rd birthday about a week ago, cause for a trip home and eating ice cream. Not a bad situation at all.
Owen subscribes to the "the more chocolate, the better" philosophy of ice cream, which is something I am quite supportive of as well.
We also had an intra-Straus Secret Valentine thing going on. We were supposed to give one gift a day for four days, but most people ended up missing a day or two. I didn't get anything for the two days leading up to Valentine's Day, but what do I see on my desk on Friday morning but the classiest presentation I ever did see. A nice yellow rose artfully laid across my keyboard, a complete breakfast (OJ, muffin, butter, knife, napkin), and chocolate.
I thought that it had to be my mom's doing, as I couldn't visualize anyone in the dorm worrying about my tendancy to miss breakfast, but Julia turned out to be the mastermind. (I feel sorry for whoever had to be her secret valentine, since she hates chocolate...) So, props to her for a job masterfully done.
