September 13th, 2002: SomethingAwful Photo Journal
So the idea is that I get up and take a picture every hour for ten hours. I got started a bit late and didn't do the timing quite right, but here we are.
12:31 PM - charming
2:02 PM - lunch with my entryway
2:57 PM - during an interview for a seminar
3:30 PM - bonus cop car
4:01 PM - Office of the Arts open house with friends
~5 PM - sitting in dorm
I have, um, no idea where 6:00 PM went. At all.
6:58 PM - dinner
The kid on the right in the dinner picture is one of the best young mathematicians in the whole damn world. He's pretty cool.
8:01 PM - back in the dorm
9:09 PM - still there
9:56 PM - just about to go to freshman dance with entryway folks
September 10th, 2002: Ooh ooh ooh
We have a phat new AV/futon setup. We got the games, we got the TV, we got the sound system. I'm listening to the Sox play this very minute. Life is good.
Wires, wires, wires.
I have a love-hate relationship with wires. So necessary for fun technology, but so tangly. So much fun with plugs and jacks (erm, ignoring Freudian implications) but so un-pretty when they're in place. Alas.
September 8th, 2002: It's OK
Well, here I am.

The prototypical College Man.
September 5th, 2002: Eek
So, uh, I'm moving tomorrow. It's a little intimidating, but I'm also eager to get this done with and see how this "college" thing works out.
Since I'm the last of my friends to leave (I start really late) I've been bored for the past few weeks, mostly talking to people on AIM and taking it easy.
I suspect/hope it will be a little while before I'm settled into a routine and have time to kill. So I'd announce a miniature hiatus coming up, but this page isn't updated too frequently anyway, so I doubt it'd be that much of a change.
Sometimes I wonder if this whole "going to college" bit is overrated, or is as big of a change as I expect it to be. But I'm pretty sure it isn't and it is, respectively. Time to find out.
