August 23rd, 2002: Testing, Testing
Well, I finally implemented vertical photos in my toolkit, at the expense of some processing time and little bit of disk space. Also, I should now be able to reference a nonexistant picture and actually get an error message. In celebration, a few other faces from the GNOME Summit so long ago:
Voltron!
Fejj!
That is all.
August 21st, 2002: A Day in the Life
So at some point over the weekend, the following barricade appeared in the office. Apparently the monkeys are upset over a recent spate of foam-dart assaults.
Since I needed to bring my camera to work, I thought I'd summarize my day too...
A large and healthy breakfast.
I take the T to the Fenway stop and come out here.
I go up one whole floor in the elevator because there are no stairs.
I sit here and type for seven hours or so.
Fascinating!
Also, mad props out to my bro Ilya, who's all grown up now and going off to college. Three cheers for the man with his hand in his pants.
Peace!
August 17th, 2002: Road Trip
Well, long time no update. Most of this week was spent travelling to and from Madison, Wisconsin to help my brother move out of college. Twelve-hour days in a car are not fun, let me tell you. But I got a lot of practice driving a manual, which is good.
Canadian electricity
We stayed over in my uncle's house in fair Cleveland, Ohio, which is a state where just about half the damn roads are under construction. This is Monday morning, leaving for the second, shorter leg of the journey out.
I dunno, some truck carrying a bunch of vans.
On both the journey to Madison and the return trip we had to drive through some crazy Midwestern storms. Not really bad ones, but obnoxious and not fun.
Storm's a-brewing...
The front.
